Osteointegration is a modern medical technology used in limb prosthetics. It involves surgically implanting a special titanium rod (implant) into the patient’s bone, which then fuses with the bone tissue. The external part of the prosthesis is attached to this implant.

🔑 Main features of osteointegration:

  • provides a reliable and stable connection between the prosthesis and the body without the use of traditional socket attachments;

  • gives the patient the ability to better sense support (the so-called “proprioceptive feedback”);

  • increases comfort by eliminating skin friction and irritation caused by sockets;

  • makes the process of putting on and taking off the prosthesis easier.

The technology is widely used for people after amputations and is considered one of the most advanced approaches in the field of prosthetics.

The center provides assistance to veterans and service members who have lost limbs or suffered severe musculoskeletal injuries.

The center provides comprehensive rehabilitation: physical, medical, and psychological support; selection and adjustment of prosthetics; training on their use; and social adaptation.

We use advanced technologies (including osteointegration and high-performance bionic prosthetics), an individual approach, and international rehabilitation methods.

The duration depends on the patient’s condition, the type of amputation, and the selected prosthesis. It usually ranges from several weeks to a few months, including training on how to use the prosthesis.
